COSA New Fire Station #27 Under Construction

Construction has commenced on New Fire Station #27 for The City of San Antonio and is on schedule for completion in Spring 2012. Fire Station #27 will replace an aging facility in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Antonio and provide a state-of-the-art firefighting facility to serve not only that community, but the entire municipality. FSHISD New Cafeteria Building for Fort Sam Houston I.S.D.

To meet current and future food service needs and in response to a growing student population, Fort Sam Houston I.S.D. has asked McCall & Associates to undertake designs for a new stand-alone Cafeteria building at the Robert G. Cole Middle and High School campus. Continuing to develop the District's design vision and commitment to sustainability were key elements considered in the design of the facility, which is now under construction. From more than 2,500 nominated projects, Fort Sam Houston ISD-Cole High School Renovations and Student Commons Addition (submitted by our LEED Consultant, Sustainable Perspectives Group, LLC) has been selected as a Green Building of America Award-winning project and will be featured in the upcoming special Real Estate & Construction Review-Southwest Green Success Stories edition. Each Green Building of America Success Story project is highlighted in a case study that intertwines the words of the project's owner/developer, consultants, architects and contractors to explain how the teams worked together to design and build one of the region's most important, innovative or unique new or renovated sustainable facilities.
